The Process


Design

  • Specify the needs to the architect based on the number of bedrooms and features
  • Architect designs the home, floor plans and elevations to meet the needs of the customer according to the code
  • Orient the house on the lot to take advantage of sunlight, views, accessibility, privacy parking and recreational needs. 
  • Develop a site plan that accommodates septic, well, pool, tennis court and pool house.



Permitting and Engineering Process

  • Design septic and well plans for Town Hall approvals and permits at the following: Health, Wetlands, Zoning, Engineering and Buiding departments.



Building

  • With permits, clear the land and do the demolition
  • Pour the foundation
  • Frame the house. Cover with Tyvek, install shingles and stone.
  • Install the wood roof
  • Blow in the insulation using state of the art foam for Energy Star certification
  • Install the windows - thermal, high quality, double glazed with true divided lights
  • Wire the house for power, data, sound and lighting.
  • Plumb the house with top quality Waterworks or equivalent fixtures
  • Install the HVAC systems for energy efficiency and for the most healthy environment.









Finish

  • Cabinetry - install custom cabinets in the kitchen, office, all bathrooms and mudroom.
  • Corner boards, railings, porticos, gazebo, porch and oversize gutters demonstrate exterior quality.
  • Hardwood floors throughout. Mahogany front doors and stairway banisters.
  • Landscaping. Terrace design. Belgian block border on driveway and parking area
  • Paint. No baked-on finishes. Paint is hand brushed throughout.
  • Appliances. Top of the line appliances such as Asco, Wolf, Sub-zero
  • Stonework. Counters in granite, quartz or marble in the kitchen and baths.
  • Custom design coffered ceilings, bead board or shiplap panelling and wainscoting on porches and mudroom. Raised panelling in the dining room.
  • Underground sprinkler system, stone wall, and lawn installation.
